After the breeding on Friday, Cami became really sick and went to the ER early Monday morning, 1:30 am to be exact. I sat in the waiting room and met with doctors where I decided to admit her so she could get fluids and have the attention that I could not give her. I got home around 4:15 and went to sleep for a bit woke at 6:30 to take Dillon to cross country practice, then went back to bed. I did not sleep well until after 10:00am once I spoke with the vet about the plan to help Cami recover. She bounced back and was sent home Tuesday evening.
So now, we wait... I can not have her ultrasound done until next Thursday 8/6/09 at 6:00pm. The waiting continues...

Keeping our fingers crossed
Today we bred Cami, now all we can do is wait to see if she gets pregnant. She was surgically inseminated this morning, the surgery went well and she is home recovering. She has to return to see the doctor on July 21st to have her staples removed. We will be having an ultrasound done at the end of the month to hopefully confirm pregnancy. Keep those fingers crossed, we really want babies.

More and More Testing
We have been testing Cami's progesterone levels for over a week now and on Friday they went up to .02. I took her in this morning for a blood draw, will do the same tomorrow and then on Wednesday they will draw and test her levels for an increase. I do not expect any significant rise this week either. Cami takes a long time for her levels to go up. She has to get to 2.5 then we will breed her about four days later. We still have a long way to go.
